Mar 28, 2016- A massive dust storm has swept through the Kathmandu Valley on Monday.

A large plume of dust has affected normal lives of people. People on the roads are taking shelters at various places to avoid breathing the dust.

Meanwhile, planes that were landing at Tribhuvan International Airport are being diverted due to poor visibility.

For the past one week, Kathmandu and several other parts of the country have been shrouded in a blanket of haze, with increased concentration of particulate matter, which experts say, is enough to penetrate deep into the lungs.
