UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Lyarkal Lama was arrested again after he was released on bail today.
Lama was released after he deposited Rs 66, 750 on bail as demanded by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu. But he was arrested immediately upon release on a fraud case lodged against him at the Department of Foreign Employment. The case at the Department alleges Lama of swindling youths of millions of rupees on promise of foreign employment.
Lama was arrested on March 13 after 14 bullets were found in his locker in Investment Bank. He was placed on custody for five days. The Metropolitan Crime Division later sought an extension of the custody by five more days, but the DAO awarded only three more days for investigation.
