This is the third reported incident of acid attack against women in three years in the Valley.
Last month, a man, who was later identified as 20-year-old Jiwan BK, had entered a tuition centre in Basantapur and poured acid over two girls and fled. He was arrested four weeks later. The girls are still undergoing treatment.
