A police team has been sent to the border of Myagdi and Mustang districts after locals complained of a fire in the area.
The plane took off from Pokhara at 7:47 this morning and lost contact with Pokhara Air Traffic Control after 10 minutes of take off. ‘See you again, good day’ was the last words from the plane’s senior captain Roshan Manandhar.
The passengers included one Chinese and one Kuwaiti national and two infants, according to the airlines officials.
Two helicopters have been sent from Pokhara for searching the missing plane flown by pilot Manandhar and co-pilot D Namkul.
Tara Air has said that it has received reports of a missing plane. It informed that the aircraft was a new one purchased by the airline on September.
Jomson is a popular trekking destination in about 20 minutes' flight from Pokhara, which lies 225 kilometres west of Kathmandu.
