Feb 11, 2016- Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala’s personal doctor Dr Kabirnath Yogi on Thursday said he did not have time to take the ailing leader to hospital even though he wanted to.
At an interaction programme held at the Reporters’ Club in the Capital city, Dr Yogi said although, he had made numerous phone calls to the hospital for an ambulance to rush the former Prime Minister, it was not received and ambulance was not managed. “We did not use the two vehicles that we had at the residence as it was not equiped with oxygen, and we did not want to take any risk,” he said.
Yogi added that late Koirala’s health condition had been stable on Monday night during his routine checking. He said Koirala’s nephew Atul made a call at around 10:30 pm and informed him that the leader was finding it difficult to breathe.
Yogi also refuted claims that late Koirala had bruises on his forehead and corroborated his claim stating that his forehead did not have any such indications during the ritual bathing of the body at the cremation site in Pashupati Aryaghat. RSS
