Update:The Indian soldier who was rescued alive on Monday after six days buried under blocks of ice and snow, has died.
An army jawan who was buried under 25 feet of snow following an avalanche in Siachen glacier was on Monday miraculously found alive in critical condition after six days of rescue efforts. An Indian soldier was buried under 25 feet snow for 6 days in World's largest battlefield Siachen Glacier in the Himalaya mountains by a deadly avalanche. He was rescued by other soldiers and the amazing scene was captured on camera. Indian army man Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad (Hanuman Thappa) was buried alive under 25 feet of snow at temperatures close to minus 40 degrees.
