Binaya Shrestha declared 'Kantipur Ko Karodpati (millionaire)'
Jan 13, 2016- Binaya Shrestha of Thankot, Kathmandu, has won Rs 10 million as part of Kantipur Karodpati Yojana.
Six-year-old Samriddha Jung Karki picked Shrestha’s scratch coupon no. 79088 at function organised at Publications office in Tinkune, Kathmandu.
The winner was announced in the presence of representative of Kathmandu District Administration, Information Department and Nepal Police. The selection of the winner was broadcast live by KTV’s Call Kantipur programme.
With the declaration of the grand prize winner amid a function on the premises of Publications, Kantipur ko Karodpati, a subscription campaign of the Kantipur Publications, launched in February 2015 came to an end on Wednesday.
Under the scheme, subscribers of the Post and Kantipur got scratch coupons that could instantly win them TVs, laptops, solar inverters, mobile phone sets and cash backs. Subscribers also won cash prizes of Rs 100,000 every week and Rs 1 million every month.
