Feb 1, 2016- Nepal set a target of 170 runs against India in their final U19 World Cup group match at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, in Bangladesh.

Rajbir Singh’s 35, Sandeep Sunar’s 37 and valuable 29 by Prem Tamang helped Nepal post the total. Aarif Sheikh also added 26 runs to the team’s total. Nepal had lost the toss and were invited to bat first by Indian captain Ishan Kishan.

Having secured a historic quarter-final berth in the ICC U-19 World Cup, Nepal will be looking to retain winning form when they square up with another Test heavyweight India.

Nepal’s only match against India was in 2000 Super Eight stage which the eventual champions won by eight wickets.
