Feb 6, 2016- Indian entrepreneurs have chased away Madhesi Morcha cadres who went to shut the Birgunj-Raxual border on Saturday. The situation of the border area is normal after the incident.
Morcha’s Bara and Parsa district meet on Saturday had concluded to shut the border point again stating that the border was resumed before the decision of the central committee.
The meeting had decided to start sit-in at Miteri Bridge at 2 pm today. Security personnel were deployed at the Nepali side of Miteri Bridge after Morcha’s decision was made public.
Indian local businessmen are present in the Indian side to stop the Morcha cadres.
The border point, closed for more than four months due to protests by the Madhes-based parties.
Meanwhile, three LPG bullets entered via the Birgunj-Raxaul border on Saturday. This is the first bullets to enter the country after 135 days.
