All
the capital-based foreign employment recruitment agencies have shut
down their operation from today as a protest against police raid on 18
manpower companies on Wednesday.
Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (NAFEA) decided to
shut all the manpower companies following police raid on Wednesday that
led to the arrest of 14 operators of companies on the allegation of
forgery.
The NAFEA has alleged the police conduct of being out of its jurisdiction.
The Association has however urged all the companies to send the workers
who have already been issued visas to their destination countries
within a week.
Over 625 manpower companies are operating in the capital.
