A young woman in Beijing was assaulted by a stranger who attempted to take her away against her will. Video footage shows the girl being thrown onto the ground and pulled by her hair in an elevator lobby of a boutique hotel in Beijing on April 3.

The victim, who herself posted the video of the attack on her Weibo account on April 5, said she had called the police and reported the accident to the management of the Yitel Hotel where she was staying, but to no avail.
The girl, who goes by the pseudonym Wanwan_2016 on Weibo, said that by uploading the clip online she was looking for an honest reply from the police and hotel administration. The video made ripples on Chinese social media, and was viewed 4.11 million times by April 6, 11 a.m. (Beijing Local Time)
