A liquor party, that was organized at the conference hall of Bardiya District Education Office (DEO) on Monday evening, has drawn wide criticism. Liquor bottles and food material were found scattered in the hall on Tuesday.
The misuse of the conference hall reportedly took place in collusion with District Education Officer Jit Bahadur Shah and other officials. Misuse of the government facility for a drinking party came to light after service seekers on Tuesday were able to smell the liquor. Visitors then took photos of the scene.
Misuse of the hall by DEO officials for organizing a drinking party is condemnable, said a teacher who wanted to remain anonymous.
